Notes and Links

I would like to thank several dear people for their support through the years.

In 1986, Patty Stevenson recorded “Clouds on the Mountain”, a group of piano solos which I wrote. Patty and I grew up in the same neighborhood, and met during the time when I was leaving home. We became friends and she fell in love with my music. Her enthusiasm for playing my music has been an ongoing inspiration for me. She offers “Clouds on the Mountain” for sale on CDBaby. To listen to or to purchase, click on the CDBaby link below. Or visit her website: www.pattycraig.com.

For the design and maintenance of this website, I thank Cedar Smith. She designed the first page without my asking her to do so, and presented it to me years ago before I could bring myself to enter the world of computers. She understands how to communicate beauty through color and form. Like me, her creativity is inspired by the natural world. We also share a respect for the rhythms of the moon as a powerful force in our lives. You may visit her website at: www.cedarsilverfox.com.

For ongoing creative support, encouragement and also travel and studio help, I thank my dear friends Pat and Tony Prewit. My heart is warmed in their presence. First thing in the morning on the day I went to record Souls of the Canyons, a black bear had walked a circle around me, as if to give blessing to the day. Awhile later, on the road to Tucson, Pat and I were reminded of the bear as a sandstorm also circled us, as if to give blessing to the day. Tony will listen to the songs I play with his eyes closed, and he will hear and feel with the ears and the heart of a poet. You may visit his website at: www.ridgelinepress.com.

In this sparsely populated corner of New Mexico, I discovered a few years ago, a cousin. Her name is Nancy Coggeshall (my mother’s name was Coggeshall), and she is a writer. I am very grateful to Nancy for loving my music and for helping me with the profiles for cdbaby. You may visit her website at: www.nancycoggeshall.com

Bill Cashman at Cavern Recording Studios in Tucson, has been a joy for me to work with. Coming from my secluded country existence, he has made it very easy for me to enter the studio and to pour my heart into music. I have much gratitude for good experiences while recording and for all of the production details that he handles.

I want to thank my very close friend Vicki Allen for being in my life, for introducing me to Reiki, and for sharing my music with her many Reiki students. I often run into people in Silver City who share with me that they offer Reiki treatments while listening to my cds. There is a photograph of me in the liner of “Mariposa”. I was looking joyfully at my friend Vicki as she took a picture of me.

In Gila, one of my main outlets is a little gift shop at Casitas de Gila Guest Houses and Art Gallery. Becky and Michael O’Conner have been enthusiastic about my music for years. Becky has encouraged me to continue my slow process of creating a website and offering my music to a wider audience. She knows how much time I use up watering the garden and looking after the goats, but still marvels at how long it can take me to sit at the computer. The casitas are a wonderful entry to this beautiful region. Please look at this website: www.casitasdegila.com.

I have gone to friends and neighbors to help me with art and graphics. The artists, Gail Stamler, Marilyn Gendron and Barb Miller have kindly offered their time and their artistic vision. Laura Howell, has worked with me as graphic designer throughout.

Anthony Howell at www.anthonyhowell.com , Fred Barraza at www.barrazaart.com , Tony Prewit, Patty Stevenson, Vicki Allen, Nora Neuman, Barb Miller at www.etsy.com/people/connectedwhimsey#, and Merritt Helfferich at www.innovationconsulting.com have all shared photos for me to use on my CD covers.

I so appreciate all of these gifts.
